Student's book in the Belleville collection , method of French as a foreign language (FLE) for older adolescents, level 1.

Belleville aims to acquire communication skills in everyday situations. It prepares for DELF Scolaire A1 and makes it possible to reach level A2 of the European Framework of Reference .

Each lesson includes the following topics:

  • “Discover” : phase of observation, discovery, questioning and establishment of hypotheses;
  • "Practice" : active phase where the student checks his hypotheses, understands the vocabulary and the functioning of grammatical structures thanks to guided, structured, varied and short activities;
  • “Pronounce” : training in pronunciation, intonation, phonography;
  • “Communicate” : culmination of the lesson. It is the use of what has been learned in authentic communication situations, oral and written, in pairs or in groups.

Each module is enriched by “Objectives”, “Civilization”, “European framework of reference / DELF”, “Summary”, “Evaluation”, “Project” and “Reading” pages (for level 2). Level 2 gives more importance to written skills.

In Belleville , we tell stories… between Paris, in the Belleville district, a cosmopolitan, lively, creative and fashionable district, and Toulouse, a modern and dynamic city. The characters are mostly high school students, but not only, because it is more motivating for 15/18 year olds to project themselves into the future.

Belleville offers: themes particularly well suited to the target audience: radio, television, art, associations, the Internet, cafes, rollerblading, cooking, humanitarian associations, advertising, fair trade, without forgetting studies and family.
