Learning French for migrant audiences is a long-standing practice, variously supported by volunteers, associations or specialized adult training centers working on the basis of locally developed projects.

In recent years, mastery of the language of the host country has appeared as a general condition for the integration of migrants, which is now an obligatory component of the reception and integration contract. This training can therefore no longer be the result of activities developed according to local resources and initiatives, but must take place within more rigorously established specifications and be provided by qualified trainers.

This work aims to review all the factors which now intervene in the development of a training course, for young people as well as for adults, as well as the various educational resources that can be used.
Trainers keen to adapt their practices to new training policies will find in this work, written by a specialist in the training of migrant audiences, all the data useful for the best performance of their profession.

Nolwenn Gloaguen-Vernet has worked as a FLE teacher and trainer of trainers in various training structures in France (associations, National Education, private centers ...) as well as abroad (Military Institute of Languages of Cairo) .
As part of a qualitative study on the establishment of the reception and integration contract by the FASILD, she traveled throughout France to meet the actors of the reception and training of the migrant public. . Today, project engineer and training coordinator, she designs, implements and carries out linguistic training programs with a socio-professional aim for the migrant public.
