Arena B1 ist für Lernende ab 13 Jahren gedacht, die sich gründlich und umfassend auf die beliebteste aller DaF-Prüfungen, das „Goethe-ÖSD-Zertifikat B1 für Jugendliche“, vorbereiten wollen. Im Buch selbst findet man 10 prüfungsadäquate Modelltests, zusätzliche Aufgabenseiten zu Wortschatz und Grammatik sowie Zusatzaufgaben zum Üben des Hörverstehens. Die Prüfung ist mit vier Modulen und insgesamt 15 Teilen recht umfangreich, deswegen wird im ersten Test das Format der Prüfung Modul für Modul präsentiert und die empfohlenen Lösungsstrategien Teil für Teil erläutert.
